SpikeCT, Welcome to Gods country!! If you get around Austin PM me and we can ride into the hill country for some bbq and a beer. Yup, Nov 19th and I actually broke a sweat at the lake with my bird dogs this morning. Life is good (& warm) in Texas. Oh by the way, if your staying and you like it warm, your just going to love August[sm=badbadbad.gif]!!
Aint that the truth, ridin in August around here is like riding in a giant blast furnace! BTW welcome from North Central Texas.
Welcome to Texas, I live out West of the DFW metroplex in Hunson Oaks. If you are ever headed out this way PM me and we will ride. There is some great riding just west of where I live.
Well I am FROM Texas. Southwest between San Antonio and the border, place called Uvalde.. Lived there most of my life.
I am in Montana now and since I have just purchased my first Harley, an 07 UC, I wish I was back there again so I can actually RIDE IT!!
BUT, warmer than normal temps in the 50's here in Montana the next few days means I will be out doing a little riding before the "hard winter" sets in.. I miss the hill country of Texas though. U can bet I'll be taking her down there this spring for a ride.
Sorry all been busy buying crap for the apartment since I have nothing here except the important harley. I am currently in Sugar Land and will be looking for a house around here. I know dont talk to me in August..... I actually refused the initial request to interview here. But after a 5k+ bike ride to do some soul searching I took it. I loved it this morning it was 36 and it felt like home. I was laughing at the news this morning and all they talked about was digging out the winter coats, extra coats for the homeless. Heck I was wearing a short sleeve shirt and driving to work with my window down.
Anyways Ill be in touch with you all as I get better situated. I know I wont be going back to CT for TDay so Ill be out riding and find a chinese resturant to eat.
Thinking about it ill do the same for Xmas. lol like Ralphie and his family did. Have the Roasted Duck.....
Welcome to Texas! That 36 seems warm to you now but wait a few years LOL.I have 2 neighbors from Jersey and one from Canada that's been here for years and they hate 36 now.Give me a shout if you make it to the Hill country and we'll get together for some miles.
