Default Another MoCo Quality Moan..

Just cleaned the back wheel on the Ultra Ltd and chrome is flaking off quicker than dandruff off my old teacher...sigh.

Thankfully it's within warranty still, but there's always the argument. Y'know, "you've not been cleaning these every night with approved polish" etc.

Grrrrrrrrr...

Just like the 50 year warranty on vinyl siding, and I had to laugh when my brother told me this. Customer: My vinyl siding faded, and it's warranteed not to for 50 years! Warranty People: Did you wash it every year like you are supposed too? Customer: Well no I did not. Warranty People: Well there you go, we can not honor the warranty because you did not wash the siding every year. If the customer answered yes I did, the warranty people answer with well there you go, you should not have washed it and what chemicals you used must be responsible for the fading, it's not the sidings fault. So no matter what you say, be careful with the answer.

my front wheel bearings went out after just 24K miles.

I find that unacceptable. Past the warrenty period. I replaced them and figured it's not worth the aggravation and the shower a trip to the dealer to complain would necessitate.

A friend has chrome flaking off the rear wheel of his 2010 Limited. After three months of calling HD Customer Service & dealer........nothing. HD customer service is useless.

Had the chrome flaking off the rear wheel of my 2010 limited after only 6 mo (March 2010). Went to the dealer. He said "I'll get one on order" no questions asked. Next week got a call the wheel was in, replaced no charge out the door under warrenty. No hassle fo fuss. Changed it while I was at work and picked it up after work. No problem since then with the replaced wheel. Might be some problems between the chrome and the powder coating processes on some wheels. Hope yours is resolved as quickly and easily as mine. Best of luck to ya.

I put a set of the Limited wheels on my 09 Classic in the spring of 2010.I now have 45000kms(24000miles)on her and no problems with the chrome flaking, but I did need to replace the bearings in the rear wheel at the last tire change.

Had chrome flaking off of my wheels in the spring. Rode to the dealer, showed the tech, he said "no problem". Asked if I could pay the difference for Agitators, he said "no problem".

I worked for the contractor that built the Harley Museum.Workmen were sent back repeatedly for warranty work because it didn't meet their approval, how ironic.
