Hi All,
After the cam swap I noticed more intake flutter between 1500-2500rpm. Its not objectionable just wondering if its avoidable or if it just comes with the territory.
Thanks,
Joe
with the change in cam timing overlap, you may be able to tune out the flutter with a change in exhaust tract length, diameter, restriction
or by changing the intake tract ( such as length)
what is likely happening at the rpm range is a wave coming back up the pipe, the exhaust and intake valves are both open, so that wave can travel all the way to intake.
in which case cylinder fill/ intake charge velocity would be affected resulting in reduced power
