Just returned from a 5 day trip in Bryson City. Man I Hate coming back to the coast after riding up there.
Rode the dragon, cherola skyway, moonshiner 28. Accidentally stumbled across 209 from Maggie Valley to hot springs, this was my favorite.
Can't wait till next time..............
Hey wideopen1967, 209 is one of my favorites too, it's a nice ride. On the way back south from Hot Springs, I take 63 off of 209 to go east at Trust. 63 goes through some more switchbacks and some beautiful, rolling hills as you ride through Leicester, etc. Come to think of it, I'd say it is at least as nice a ride as 209. I recommend both. Be careful of the wildlife, couple of weeks ago I stopped to let a deer cross 209 and some of the cornfields run right up to the road.
