Default HID on street glide

I recently put in a HID bulb in my street glide but have a question before I try to use it. The installation says to make sure I use a 20amp fuse for the headlight, so does anyone know if the wiring can handle the 20amps? Also I just got this bike so can someone tell me where to find the fuse box/panel? Its a 2011

Fuse box is under the left sidepanel just in front of the saddlebag

A true HID bulb would need a ballast also, if its just a replacement bulb plugged into your factory headlamp plug it's not a HID bulb I don't think??

True. My hid is a balast and harness, im running a 55 watt kit, so it has an extra harness for power that comes from the battery and has a fuse in the harness. The power from the street glide harness is used essentially as a power on switch.

If using a 35 watt kit the power comes from the stock sg harness but a ballast is still used. And yes stock wiring is enough to handle a 35 watt hid.

It did have a ballast, but it still received it's power from the factory wiring. Thanks for the info
