I know, what could be easier to install than speakers? Well, I bought the speakers from another member, used but in excellent condition, and I am missing a couple of "parts". In the instructions it says to reuse the two top screws when installing the new speakers. It says to use the two "new" philips head screws included with the speakers to fasten the bottom. Well, that's what I'm missing, the two philips head screws. Does anyone know what the difference is between the stock screws and the philips head screws? Besides the fact that the stock screws are #25 torx. Length, diameter, what? Thanks for the help. Oh, by the way, I installed them with the stock screws and they sound like a big improvement over the stockers. I forgot to look and see if the screws came out the other side on the inside fairing. Big oops if that happened.
If it's any consolation, I reused the 3 screws mounting the stock speakers to the fairing when I installed my boom speakers (they were used, no instructions, so I didn't know otherwise), and it all seems to be working fine.
Yes, that was you. But not a problem. How can I complain for the price? Thanks. I just got around to installing them this morning.
During my trade, I blew the motor on my bike. So it was in the shop and the mechanics changed the old bike back to stock.
So I blame them for any missing screws. lol

Go to the dealer and get the correct parts. there are spacers also needed for installation or you will dimple your inner fairing. The dealer did that to mine, I made out though. got my new inner painted (thanx dad )and installed for free.

It didn't say anything in the instructions about spacers. But now you have me concerned. I'm going downstairs, taking off the cover, and looking at the inner fairing. I'll let you know what I find.
Well ***** me! There is no screw protrusion, but I did notice that the brake cable has been rubbing on my painted inner fairing. I moved it so that doesn't happen anymore. But it's kinda too late. Rubbed the paint off in a little spot. And again, no screw protrusion.
