Default Jackpot's installed!

Just put on my jackpot mufflers, stage one kit, and loaded a tune off of my power vision. Ready for a ride tomorrow evening. Anyone running the standard baffle with the packing removed?? I saw the competition baffle but was wondering if pulling the packing would do the trick. I want my exhaust pretty loud, dont like quiet bikes. How would pulling the packing effect the tune? or would it not really matter? Also have the head pipe on order so hopefully that will make it a lot louder too.

The head pipe will make it loud, thus I wouldn't mess with the baffle or packing.

Jackpot (and really all exhaust manufacturers) spend a lot of time and money designing their exhausts. Your mufflers were designed to make maximum power and efficiency with the baffle and packing intact. If you really need to draw more attention to yourself, call Jamie and order a Competition Baffle.

Might give the competition baffle a try, was gonna try remove the packing and put the baffle back since its a free mod and I can always put the packing back if I want to. Doesn't look like its gonna effect the flow too much but who knows till I give it a try.

If you want loud pipes go with some fishtails!

not a fan of fishtails on my bike, like the look but not enough to put them on my ride. I have the 4" up slash mufflers. Love the look of the pipes and the support from the fuel moto guys, but want the sound too.

The packing does not affect performance, it just dampens the sound and provides a heat barrier for the muffler shells.

I've done tuning runs that tell a different story. When I re-packed my Fatcat, there was a difference (not huge, but a difference) in the VEs when I data logged a ride.

Went for a short ride tonight and it sounds great with baffles and no packing, its not very loud really. I can still hear my radio and the sound is smooth and not to loud, I think with the 2-1-2 head pipes its gonna sound perfect. So looks like no packing for me in my mufflers. It also runs great the tune I got from fuel moto works perfect so far, hopefully tomorrow will be a nice day and ill ride to work and see how it does on a long trip.
