for some reason HD is quite tight-lipped about their paint codes for this bike (purple and silver two-tone). If anyone can help me out here I would greatly appreciate it.
HD is "tight lipped" about all of their paint codes. Just another way for them to control prices. Love the bike, hate the corp, oh well that's another thread.
Any good paint supply can match paint with a scanner. If you live in a real small town, you can try Color Rite's "Paint Wizard". I've had good luck with it.
There is a paint code sticker somewhere on the bikes. I found mine by accident once. I did however forget where mine was. Also if you get touch up paint from the "stealer" i believe the codes are on the lil bottles

Check under your gas tank that's where I found mine. Actually it found me when I taking the tank off.
