Default FLITZ on HD windshield ???

I have a few small scratches on my HD tall windshield. The shield is rather new and I would like to remove or dull down the marks. I was thinking about using Flitz as I have done on my car headlights. I called the company and they said it was ok to use Flitz with the power ball on the HD shield, but did say to test it first on a small area...... LOL Just wondering, Has anyone tried this and how did it work out for you ?? Taking a road trip this weekend and don't want to screw up the shield before I leave.

Thanks in advance for all replies, Be Safe JIM

I've never used Flitz but have used Novus products with success.

Flitz is abrasive and might further damage the shield. Check out Novus.

The windshield has a coating on it that kind of peels if scratched. I would take the windshield off, try it on an area that is not visible and see what happens. My guess is that anything abrasive will really screw it up.

I have never used it on windshields but just last weekend I found an old face shield that was in very bed shape. Just for the heck of it I got out the flitz and was very surprised by how well it cleaned up. I swear by the stuff on aluminium and brass but agree check it out on a small area.

Yep and that coating is a PIA. Once it gets started you're better off getting a new one.

I use Novus #2 on my stock coated shield works well, no coating removal issues. I never tried #1 or #3. Never tried Flitz.

Thumbs up Flitz

Flitz is an excellent product, on their site they say it will work, its non abrasive and is fine for plexiglass, etc, and I would try it as recommended without hesitation
