What a great trip. Glad you made it home safe and enjoyed it all. I take 10 days every year with my brother and we go a different place each year - wish i could extend the trips to 26 days! Can't wait to see some pics.
The views out in the great west are breathtaking. I had to keep pulling over and just inhaling the air and absorbing the vastness. I absolutely love it and it reminds me why i wear my name on my shirt to protect this place
Mr396,
Lots of beautiful country in the US eh? (especially Id, Mt. )
I started the IronButt National Parks Tour on April 14th, so far 22 states and 38 parks. Should finish the second week in November with 26 states and 53 Parks.
Fun Times........and if I find time to run to Maine before April 14th of 2012, I'll add a few more state and will have hit the four corners, like you said, it is what a bike is made for!
I like the Parks "passport" stamp system.....
Ditto on the post of roads with more than two lanes. Last week I stopped to help a stranded bagger with a German flag hanging off the tour pack. Help was already on the way so I stayed a whole ten minutes until they were picked up. German couple, flew into Los Angeles and rented the HD. Been riding the southwest for three weeks. Spent the night in Las Vegas after returning from Grand Canyon. Heading to San Francisco next. Heck, these folks have ridden more in three weeks than I have in six years. I need a job with more time off.

I share your joy. My wife and I had arranged for three months of riding on the mainland. I wrote about it in another post and even put a link to some of the pictures my director at the Windward Oahu Chapter posted on their web page. It was hard to believe that we covered over 10,000 miles in 6 weeks. We had to cancel out the second half of our trip due to many things that had happened to us this year. We are happy we got to do what we did. My wife has a national park pass We hit many of the parks and she was able to nearly complete her National Park passport. We hit many of the states you did, and you are right, the scenery, people, and experience were amazing. I for one feel really good to spend my time and money in our country. Hope fully we can go through the southwest and the East Coast, our planned second half or our trip this coming spring.
For those of you who want pictures, here is the link. My original post did not get much feedback. If it is bad to re-post links I am sure you all will let me know. Other wise I hope this reaches people the original post did not reach and you all enjoy the photos.
