I have no idea what that will cost but some of the factors I would consider are....

1 - Cost as compared to better performing aftermarket parts.

2 - Whether or not you will be letting the dealer do the work, and have a warranty, or let an independant shop do the work and compromise your warranty.

3 - Whether or not you are willing to make a major investment in your bike ( are you going to keep it for a long time )

4 - What are you expecting to get for $xx.xx? Do some research, and see if you can get what you desire for the amount of money you are willing to spend.

5 - Keep in mind, at a dealer, they run these big bore kits through the service department like they are running cattle through an auction.

6 - In alot of cases, not all, the lowest paid tech ( read least experienced ) gets all the BB kits to install as it saves the dealership money, and gives him some free practice on your dearly loved scoot.

From what I have seen in the past, for the most part, not always, the SE big bore kits are a rip off. They sell you on the 95", or in your case the 110" kit, include cams of their choice, and you gain a fraction of the amount you would have gained by spending a few more bucks and going aftermarket.

If performance was my primary objective, before I spent the money on SE stuff, I would take a serious look at an S&S 124" motor with a Baker 6-speed tranny. IMHO, alot more bang for your buck.

It is true that if it is big performance gains you are after, then you should certainly check out the after market. My ground up 03 RK build with 124"and all the supporting hardware cost me a little over $15K.Of course it takes a lot of leg work and a place to put a bike together. For me the joy of seeing and riding my own creations is hard to put into words.Good luck

You know warranty is an issue, especially when it's a brand new bike. But if you don't care about all that, migh want to check out revolution performance ( http://www.revperf.com/twin.aspx) they have that 107 kit for our bikes out now. And from what I see it's pretty cheap considering. Like 1000 bucks. Combine that with a cam and stuff and I bet that pup would make some serious HP/TQ.

You know just an option...

With the 110 requiring a case bore ($$$$) I'd consider getting a 103 with good cams /heads or a 107 then it's just a BB kit .

There are 103's making 130hp/tq the new 110's don't make anywhere near that.

The riders I know that have 110" SE absolutely love them. The dealer has just started doing 110 upgrades. Price he gave me was $5,000+. Big chunk of change!

About $3500 for me, with discounts (20% off parts and labor).

Interesting enough, I was at Grove HD in Winchester, Va. this afternoon and they have a black SG with the 110 upgrade and I noted it comes with a 2 year warranty. $26,900 if I recall correctly. Don't know if the cams were changed but I doubt it or they would have noted it, I think. Anyway, There are still some RK SE's out there for just another $1000 or so. Why would I pay almost the same thing for a SG when I could get a SE RK? Grove isn't known for giving any deals but if you are near, you might contact them about their SG.

To each his own on this one, but if it were me, I'd opt for having a motor built by a reputable shop. I just think its more fun that way. Having said that, I have a good friend who just did the 110" SE in his Ultra. He loves it.
