That is interesting, I don't have the orginal literature that came with the one I bought, but looking at the website. It says they come with the power adapter. I might try to download a map to see if it will work, without it. I just figured since it was part of the package, it was required. Again thanks.

I found the 9V adapter. Do you have the cord that goes between the computer and the PC unit? I have that also if you need it. You can download a PC user manual and the software from Dynojet's website if you don't already have it. Let me know if you need the cord and I'll get it in the mail to you tomorrow along with the 9V adapter.

I was concerned about downloading maps to the tuner off the bike. I sent Jamie at Fuelmoto an email and here is his response...

The new map will overwrite the new one unless you save it first. If you remove the unit from the bike you will need the 9V adapter, you can also do it on the bike with the igntion/start switch on.

Thank you.........Jamie

Well, I got everything out tonite to see if I could download a map. I hooked the battery adapter to the battery and then to the power commander, no lights. So I plugged in the usb cord to the computer and the power commander, according to the map page, nothing is connected. I tried both usb ports on the front of my computer. Guess I am going to have to go to the back and try there. Does anyone know if the lights should come on with the 9V battery attached. I might hook it up to the bike tomorrow and see what I get. Tried to download the installation guide and trouble shooting guides, but the website kept kicking off, not sure if it's the website problem or my computer.

Did you put your tongue on the battery to make sure it's good? Also, I think it works best with XP. What OS do you have?
