My 2006 Ultra has xm radio and it's working, except I cannot figure out how to program in specific stations. There are 6 or 8 stations programmed in, and the rest of the presets are set to station "1". If I could reprogram the stations to those of my choice, then I could easily scroll through them as I cruise. But I can't get to any stations except those already programmed in. I have tried every key combination I can think of to no avail. It's not in the owner's manual, or the shop manual, and it's not on the HD website. Does anyone out there know how to change the presets on this Harmon Kardon radio? I have already done the software update so that's current.
thanks--
It is as simple as finding the desired station, then push and hold the desired number until the system "beep's." You will see the station highlighted as soon as depressing the button. If you only get the prescribed stations on the XM, and you cannot get certain stations or change presets, that would be a subscription issue. The owner's of CVO models got 3 months free then you have to pay. Go to www.xm.com for that info.
BG, that's right. You don't get free cable when you buy a 60" plasma tv either. It's actually a contractual issue. XM radio, opei and anthony and XM comedy for instance use prophanity and could be offensive to someother than us. So if you wan't you pay.

I could be wrong but I think the subscription is up and running. I'm getting about 8 or 10 stations. It's just that I can only get the ones that are already preset. I can scan through the presets, but I can't change them. I'm getting the 80's, a country station, a rock station, some rap junk, a news channel, and a couple three or four others, but I can't change the presets or get anything but them. Do you think that's xm's attempt to lure me in? You could be right, but I thought if you had a radio that you weren't paying for, you just got channel one. That's the way it worked in my Chev when I had the radio but hadn't yet paid for the station. I guess I'll just wait until spring and then contact them, it just seemed like a hardware problem the way it was/wasn't working.
