Thanks for the info charlie I'm going to give Rev Perf a call tomorrow and dark horse. I like how I could bump up to the 107 with rev perf cylinders and have them do the crank. So i'll decide tomorrow when I talk to those guys
Talked to the guys at darkhorse and rev performance today. I think I'm going to send it to rev performance have them do the bottom end and bore my cases and put in a 117.
Thats the way i felt about darkhorse. I can build a 117 for 500 bucks more than what darkhorse wanted just for the bottom end to get done. I already have my heads and everything else done so may as well go for it. I talked to adrian at rev perf and seemed like an awesome guy and gave me plenty of info and turn around time is quick
i just cant afford dark horse prices and honestly think they charge too much for what they're doing.
ditto...a lot of folks on the forum are quoting some very old prices. 450 for true, weld and balance anit going to happen for less than 900 today at darkhourse. And if you don't agree to do rods, they loose interest. So maybe the process they use screws up the stock rods???? don't know.
The guy I talked to a darkhorse was a nice guy and obviously knew his ****. it was just difficult to understand what he was getting at because he would go back and forth on things. I dont doubt there work or anything I just liked rev perf after talking to them
yeah ill be going with rev pro for the bottom end. and i think ill do the FM 107 'Hellraiser' because the customer service is top notch. im planning to ride out to jamie next year and get it done
