I just purchased a 2005 electra gluide classic last week. It set a u1016 in the security module today. seemed to set after i had the alarm set when parked and when i disarmed and started it the security light stayed on for a while. no other codes in any other modules. just wondering if anyone else had encountered this or not. i dont want to get stranded. the code cleared, but i didnt get a chance to ride it again to see if it will reset

 

When the security light stayed on for any length of time usually mean the battery needs to replaced in the fob.
