Default Wire Size

Im helping a friend install apes on his Street Glide and I was wondering what size the wires are on the bar controls. Looks like maybe 16ga or 18ga. Are there different sizes for the different functions? The throttle wires look smaller. Than ks to anyone who can answer.

18ga should be fine...make sure you use wire strand, not solid copper (flexibility)

18 ga can handle approx. 15-18 amps which is plenty
20 ga should be enough also 10-12 amps..

Take your pick

Thanks for the reply... I think I'll try 20 ga for everything. Figure going with the 20 over 16-18 will make pulling through the bar easier
