Hi Batone,
You know, one of those screens that has a small bend on the top edge to flip the air higher over your head whist riding.
Klokwerks / Harley/ windvest - they all do them.
I finally went with the HD windsplitter screen -pushes the air up about 3" higher creating a "bubble" - stereo is much better now no wind noise.
Just installed a reckless fairing with a Sony dsx-s100 iPod head unit and a pair of 6x9 Rockford fosgate r1693 speakers. Sounds fine around town at less than 50 mph, but barely can hear it at highway speeds. Not trying to get same Audio quality I would get in a car, but would like to be able to hear it without a lot of distortion. When I get the volume over 30, lots of distortion. Any suggestions?
I installed a Reckless fairing on my previous bike and had a JVC head unit and Rockford Fosgate 6.5" 3-way speakers. The sound quality was amazing and I had no problem hearing the music clearly at speeds of 65 MPH or above. Did they install foam speaker baffles or at least some sound dampening insulation it the fairing for you?
Thanks for all the replies. Definately getting an amp. No foam or anything behind
Speakers, as I said earlier, I am clueless about audio installs. Where can I purchase Foam speaker baffles?
