Default New Handlebars

Looking to purchase a new set of handlebars. Main reason is diameter so I can hide all the unnecessary cables, etc. then make the clutch and brake mesh. I dont' mind the position of the stock handle bars but I see a lot of threads that reference Heritage Handlebars. Any negative feedback?

What bike do you have? The Heritage style bars work good on a Road Glide.

I'd suggest you sit on a bike with Heritage bars to see if you like the wrist angle - many don't. I had them on my Road King, and while they were an improvement over stock, the wrist angle wasn't the greatest.

I have a set of Wild1 515s on my Road Glide and really like 'em.

I have 2007 a Road King Classic. Angle on the stock bars are a little awkward for me. I would like a grip where my wrists were more perpendicular to the front tire. Or straight versus cocked outwards. When Im out for a 400 mile ride the more comfortable the better and my hands are one thing that i have to stretch out quite often.

I did a pictorial on swapping the heritage-style bars on a Road King about a month ago. When I had both bars off, I took a picture which shows the wrist angle. Heritage bars on top, stock bars on bottom:

I found the angle better (more perpendicular to line of travel), but some might not. The full posting is here

Dr Jay. Angle looks much better. Thanks for your help. That will be my next purchase of what I hope to be not many, but seems to never end.

Here's a new pic, taken today, that shows the angle and position of my heritage style bars on my RK.
