HD is much better. Besides, I hate supporting Kuryakyn and their junk
Yeah, me too.. Too bad many of both HD and Kuryakyn's items are made by the same manufacturer, just a different package, huh?
Geez, which one to support, made in china or made in china?
A bud had the Kury one, 1000 miles from home he thought his tranny went out because he couldnt shift coming off a pass, turns out the Kury brackets broke and lodged his shifter, ended up removing it on the side of the road. I would aim for the HD one, too many people I know having failure issues with Kury stuff.
The HD unit and the Kury unit is the same part.
HD must buy them somewhere and it must be Kury.
Well made, nice chrome, no rattles or problems of any kind.
I did the inner primary replacement. took me 45 min to install and about $35 for gaskets for my 2011 road glide. mine you the part is expensive. but it looks killer.
A cover, while cheaper and easier to install, just isn't the same as a real chrome inner primary. If you are putting on a SE compensator, it's a great time to put on a chrome inner.

Well, since nobody asked me, here's my opinion
I can't stand any of that fake cover crap, whoever makes it. If I want a part chrome, I will take off the real part and get it chromed. No offense to anyone that likes the fake covers on their scoot. If you like it, I think it's fine on your bike

Do it for real or don't do it at all is my opinion also, but it's just my opinion.
