I have a 2009 H-D FLHX and approx. 18 months ago I installed HD Ventilator air cleaner and 1 3/4 Rush exhaust at that time I purchased a TTS Mastertune system online and installed it myself the bike ran great.
I have just installed a set of Screamin Eagle 255 cams and used TTS DUH205-03 download most similar to my build. Bike now kicks back when starting while hot everyone tells me the start timing is off, however I hear a lot of buzz about the starter compensator issues also.
I called TTS and basically got the snub like I wasn't smart enough to adjust their stuff then sent email and only response was where did you buy it when I wanted to here "how can we help you". I have been reading up and when the weather breaks will try some adjustments. I was just currious if there is a better download closer to my build?
I have done over 10 performance builds but this is my first with the throttle by wire and by response from tech support probally my last with TTS.

With all due respect, have you read the tuning guide? The base calibrations are not designed to be used as canned maps, you have to tune them to your bike. I don't have the calibration list available to me at work, but go through and pick the one that's closest to your build, load it, and do the cam tune test. But before you do anything, read the entire tuning guide. Every answer to your questions is in there.
Thanks guys for the feedback so far, I did look at the ctd205 it doesn't say anything about cam upgrade. Cooper have you changed your cams? My download prior to the cam upgrade worked flawless.
One of ridin buds just did his bike and used fuel moto he was very happy with their tech help. Looks like that will be the route on my next bike. Good sponsor for this forum.

You're using the proper calibration, you just need to tune it. You're getting kickback due to the high CCP the 255 generates. Compression releases will solve the problem.
But then again, so would reading the documentation that came with your tuner.
i have 255 cams. as in the tech section i copied the spark advance from the DUH and pasted to the ctd calibration. changed cam selection to 3opening 2 closing in the cam selector and change displacement.
You have to use all the close map calibrations to find the best one for your setup and then v-tune. It's a trial an error process

ferg32, if your still having problems with your tune, give Russ a call at Colbach HD in Moristown, he does the dyno tuning their. Colbach sells the TTS mastertune..
SE comp would really help as would compression release's. While cranking the timing is set to "0" degrees advance. It will stay at that until around 350-400 rpm (IIRC). About all you can try is reducing the timing values in the 750 rpm rows from 60 kpa to 100 kpa, even though the last 4 cells will be a minus number. Take out 2 or 3 degrees and see what happens. The other thing you can try is adding a little cranking fuel at the right temp. You should only make one change at a time so I would start with the timing tables.
