yep, added the heritage style bars to mine. they are about an inch taller and have an inch more pullback than stock. amazing what a difference that little bit makes (no need to insert pun here )
I think maybe 2 inches taller and 2 inches of pullback would suite me better. I wish it came even with the stock Street Glide bar positioning.
stop posting how great Road Glides are, there were not that many on the road when i bought mine in 2008, now i am seeing more and more on the road. soon just about everyone will know how great these machines really are.
Put a 100 miles on it today. Still strong winds. Set the cruise at the speed limit and rolled down the road.
I'll keep the Ultra as I collect HD's. I have one of each family and this gives me both types of touring with fairings. Hmmm should I have one with a windshield also? I better ask my wife.
As far as the vision thing goes, I'm almost 71 and since I can't see well, if you see me coming it's best to clear the area.
Put Heritage on mine they are OK for length but the wrist angle has changed from my 06 SG not sure I am liking it to be honest...
Yep, the wrist angle is lacking in the ergo-comfort dept.....
I'm still looking for the 'perfect set of bars'.... and not wanting
to drop 1K clams with every try !!!
Someday somewhere I will set on a scoot and find the set-up I'm searching for,
until then I'll keep my heritage style.
Amen to THAT!
CSS!!!! I'm gonna take my old RAYBAN Ballerama's(Spl/CHK)
in & see if they can fit lenses.
If not, I'll have to pop the 100 bucks. Seems a shame to do it that way,
but these old (sort of) Waferrer (spl chk again) designs that lens crafters gave me aint workin. Not for riding!!
I still gotta try a Road Glide on of these days.
I'll bet I would buy one. They do look wicked!! And I'm sure it's all true
how they ride.
I like the Street Glide too . . . But you can't swing a dead cat by the tail
around here w/o hitting one.
