HD finally got the sound right. 4 speakers in the fairing, 2 in the lower fairing & 2 in the saddlebag lids...the system pumps!
HD sells this Boom custom touring kit for allot of $$ - new for 2012. The speakers are all 1 ohm, and the the first revision instructions have many mistakes. It has two amps one in fairing, and one in the left rear saddle bag. My Ipod Nano is located in the right saddle bag, and is connected through the harness to the HK head unit. Basically it is what you see on the 2012 CVO SG. ...If you really are considering this kit, PM me for tips. I believe most would use the $$ for an aftermarket system.
I really like the lid speakers. I don't like the one's that stick up from the lid to angle them towards you, and the others that are flush just don't seem that they would work well going down the road. HD got it right with these.
