..sounds like your bike just didn't want to leave the dealership!...man..that takes the fun out of it for a while...hang in there, the motor is all that REALLY counts..and so far it sounds like that's still o.k....

Depending on your state laws, sounds like you would be able to file under the State Lemon Law for a new bike.

Yep, I watched my friends face go white when I dropped him off at the local dealer to pick up his pristine new baby, which was in for a factory recall steering head adjustment issue and the Service Manager apologized for all of the scratches in his Vivid Black gas tank and front fender from the protection covers. They blamed him, (my friend) for dropping off a dirty bike which the covers ground into the nice black paint on his less than 6 month old bike. He lives on a dirt road like I do and had a very very fine layer of dust on the paint when it was dropped off. The scratches he ended up with were very deep as if somebody sat and wiggled around on that tank and fender. A local body shop did their best to repair it but did not dare buff any deeper for fear of burning the clear. Scratches are still noticable to this day 3 months later. He had to either repaint or live with it. As I said, the dealer blamed him so they would not offer or pay to repair it. My thought was, if they were going to use a cover in the first place, I would have at least washed the dust off. I'm telling you folks, the dust was pretty light to begin with. I find it very hard to believe that all of that damage was done by a light covering of fine dust? I avoid dealers as much as feasibly possible, even electing to pay out of pocket for some minor warranty repairs to avoid such things from happening. A cover does not even help protect our bikes from some non caring dealers out there! If you have a good dealer, they will take the care to do things right, but if you have a bad one with minimum wage employees who don't care....Watch out!

These darn lemon laws http://www.ohiolemonlaw.com/state-mo...lemon-law.html

I even hired an attorney, and they said "...well they fixed it, when the same part brakes again...call us....."

If it was the same part 3 times - no question - lots of parts - only 1 time broken and OEM fixes it - no lemon

"
Reasonable number of repair chances or a reasonable amount of time to complete repair during warranty. " ya uh meaning aaa well and my bike did not qualify - geeeez

I don't care if it came in with an inch of mud caked on it. If they scratched it, they fix it !! Simple. I'd take em to court.
