It could be wet sumping. Pull the crankcase plug and measure the amount of oil.

Which Andrews cam was used??

You need to find a different Indy shop

Is yr air filter & intake manifold wet & oily? What's the hot oil pressure at an idle running at?

If he "charged" you to build this motor. Ask him what the deck height was and ask him what the CC of the heads were. Then do a compression test to verify his measurements. I bet he didnt check that stuff.

He should be bending over backwords to make this motor perform at least in the 100/100 range! If he cant get that out of a 103, he needs to get a job at McDonalds.

Hearing storys like this really sucks. I build motors in my garage for friends. I check those things, use a reputible machine shop, and always let my friends/customers know what exactly they are getting from me. I also tell them I have no formal schooling and that I am no "harley mechanic" The money I charge them also reflects this...Mostly beer, they help, and enough money to make it worth while.

Addressing '05FLHTC' and 'Redrubicon2004':

Air filter was blowing out oil and mech suspected too much oil in crankcase and lowered the level. No blow through now. He doesn't like filling up to the full mark on the stick.

"Charged"! He estimated ten hours for the job and said he put 17 into it. I paid for 16. Too much!

Man, that sucks! Sorry to hear it. I would have the shop that tuned the bike look it over if you can afford it. Then take the first guy to small claims.
