Thanks for all the welcomes from the Touring Board! Have settled on a specification for the Ohlins with Howard at Motorcyclemetal - it sure beats just buying a set of shocks off the shelf once you know what is required of a properly built unit - real happy about that. Will keep you posted...

Hey............Welcome from Ca...........spent 2 months driving up the West coast from Perth to Darwin in an old Holden we bought in Perth and then sold in Darwin.........many great fond memorys. This was in the early 80's.................would love to go back and ride the same route on a bike.
