Why would I buy your bike for what YOU paid for it? I could buy a new bike,
don't you think? Then, if I knew is was a 'distress' sale ("I have got to sell it...!")....I would look at even more savings TOO ME.
Like someone else mentioned....another reason I never buy new.
You might sell it for 'pay-off'...I wouldn't give you what you payed for it. That is insane.

Chuck, is telling you, the painful....but honest truth. When you sell, people are going to run you down as low as possible on the price....why not?

It's pretty simple - why would anyone pay the same price for a used bike if they could get a new bike for the same price? Put yourself in the buyers position - would you?

It'll sell for 2-3 grand under MSRP if you advertise it on eBay and Cragslist...and even then it may take time.

Think of it as the cost of getting a "street education".

Sorry, it's painful...but it's the truth.

Here in Okla, we can ride year around, but bikes still dont sell for much in the winter. I bet you take a considerable hit.

Like others have said, this is why I buy used to. I love to pick up a practically new bike for thousands off, and maybe get some upgrades for free too.

If you really want to know what it would bring, ask the dealer where you bought it from if they would buy it back and if so for how much and then come back on and tell us how much you would have to lose in order to do it..

I'm in the process of trying to sell my bike and upgrade to a touring Harley. It is a bad time of year to sell. Plus just like everyone has said in this economy everyone is looking for the best deal. You will loose money. I'm probably just going to trade my bike in at the dealer. My dad just traded his Road King in on a new Ultra and the dealer gave him a great price for his bike.
