I am looking for a different set of handle bars for my 93 FLHTC. I have a arm injury and need a little more rise and pull back to make the long rides more comfortable. I don't want apes by any means but a set of bars that come back to me better. I use a driver backrest and that helps but would still like a little more pullback than the oem bars. Has anyone replaced bars and have suggestions for me? I am 6' 220 pounds. I have heard maybe a set of heritage bars? Thanks for any help!
I have an 05 flhtci and swapped the bars out w/ the bagger bars from wild 1 chubby PART # WO575...................extremely comfortable and allow you to ride in a more "reclined" positon....
You may want to look at the Harley bars...2" rise and 2" more pull back. I went with them on my FLHT and I am pleased with them.[sm=americanasmiley.gif]
Mac, I also want to change my bars on my Ultra. I really like the look and dimensions of your bars. I am going to check them out.
Did you have to change the cables/wiring?
I don't like the feel of the stock bars. They seem a bit narrow and turn in a little too much for my tastes. The bars on your bike just compliment an already beautiful machine.
No change of stock cables and wiring is required. The clutch cable needs to be re-routed inside the radio bracket to fit...get some pin pullers so that you don't have to cut the wires when you run them internally.
