Saw this camera at the dealer and was thinking about getting it...anybody have it / use it? What has been your experience with it? Where is the best place to mount it on a Harley? Is the helmet cam the best view? Any feedback is appreciated...
I just got the original version from a friend. I will be using it Sunday. I can't wait. Thenewer version ash the lithium Ion battery and it supposedly lasts longer. I read that maybe 2 hours of video is max on one battery.
have mine for sale with few accessories included...i mount mine on front crashbar..very steady for photos and filming...has 2 batteries. several unused mounts, 32GB card, rarely used..make me an offer
I don't have a GoPro, I have a ContourHD, but I have tried it on helmet, bars and engine guards, by far the engine guards are the best camera angle. The link below is some video from my trip to Sturgis and Yellowstone in June 2011.

I was at a bike show last week and had a good look at all the various makes etc.
The GoPro seems to be very good but I opted for the Contour GPS.
Haven't used it in anger yet but from a features perspective it is excellent and build quality is superb.
Single reason for buying it is the fact that it has a GPS tracker built in, so while watching the video you can see an inset of a map with a moving pointer showing where the footage is being filmed, together with elevation and speed stats. Very clever and exactly what I have been looking for
Excellent image quality,I usually mount it on my chest harness but the view is somewhat blocked by the Ultra fairing.I think helmet or crash bar mount will be best.As for the short(?)battery life,I think 2 hours aren't bad,to recharge the battery I had an aux power outlet put in the TourPak and with an USB adapter it can be recharged while riding.I think it's a nice object to have and worth its price.

I had a cheap camera before and found battery life a really frustrating issue as you just know it is going to die at that key stage! For this reason I bought a second battery and a 12 vdc charger so I could keep one on charge in the Tourpac.
Problem with remote mounting is the start / stop function. The contour has an iPhone app so there is limited remote control possibility but the app is still very limited at this stage
