Default saddlebag spoiler running/brake light kit

Anyone have any feedback on these units? I'm wondering how bright the leds are. Are they bright enough to be functional or are they more for effects?

They are noticeable, but they don't jump out and grab you. If I had to choose between them and plasma rods, I'd pick the plasma, no question.

As stated they don't really jump out at you.

Thanks for the pic. I see what you mean. I like the position of them, and I like that they are color matched. Maybe I can replace the leds in time. I don't really like the vertical plasma tubes. I'd rather something horizontal on top of the bag.

I like the saddlebag spoiler lights, but for brightness and function you can't beat Hyperlights..

Buy a BrightAssLights tail light if you haven't already done so and you're concern is for more effective light on the back of the bike.

I had the saddlebag spoiler LED's and found them to be primarily a cosmetic add-on rather than a significant addition to the bike's rear lighting. And when I had the bike repainted, I was happy to sell the bags with the spoilers and replace them with plain lids.

The BAL will dominate any other rear lighting you put on the bike, unless you have a tour pak with a very bright light mounted on it.

I have them and they look good, brightness as mentioned isn't anything to write home about, but they look pretty good. That said, I'm selling mine because they don't suit the style of mod's I'm going for, so if you're looking for a set in Vivid Black, PM me.

well, I've already bought the things. I do wish they were a bit brighter, but I like the look of the spoiler and I like the position of them.

I wonder if the LED's can be switched out for some super brights?

My next step is to put some flush mount leds in the base of the saddle bags. So I'll have 4 matching run/brakes as well as the stock one.

Harleypingman, I'll look into the BAL lights, thanks.
