Had a small leak from the Shifter Shaft Seal. Got the inner primary off and the shifter seal out. Do you need special tools to pull and install the Jackshaft and the Mainshaft Lip Seal? Figure might as well replace them since I have the inner primary off. If anyone knows of a write up with pictures that would be helpful.
Thanks for the link. I have yours save as a reference and have used it and others for my tear down. Have used the drill a hole and screw trick for removing the shiter shaft seal. Now ready to remove the other seals. Looking for input. I believe a seal puller will allow me to remove them and looks like I will need the HD tool to install the seals? Or can some of them be installed by taping the in with a socket?

A socket or pipe of the same diameter. Make sure you start them square in the hole. The 5th gear seal is a booger to get out, take your time. Take out the main shaft tranny seal the same way you took out the shifter shaft seal. Again take your time and don't hurry.
I just replaced all the seals in my inner primary, and I used a press from HF. Much cheaper than the seal puller tool that Harley sells, and the press will serve me for far more than just a seal replacement job. Something to consider if you're not too far into the job at this point to justify spending $120 for a press at Harbor.
It will all make sense when you are finished with the job.
The Harley tool for the main shaft is the only special tool you will need for the job. You can make the primary chain lock out of a piece of 2X4 or a straight steel bar.
