Go to Capt'n Itch's website, get a pair of the Ugly Goggles in clear for 20-something bucks. I carry them in the saddlebags of both my bikes just in case I get caught in the rain with my 1/2 helmet.

They work great and don't fog up (much)

But keep in mind that you'd need a properly-sized helmet. If you can't purse your lips and "kiss" the inside of the chin bar, then the helmet is going to let wind and rain up into the face area. A properly-sized full face for rain and cold will have the chin bar close enough to kiss it. More expensive models will also have a retractable mini shield below the chin bar which blocks even more wind and rain.

My Arai Quantum II is perfect for this purpose.

I assume your suggesting Rain X on the face shield, not the windshield. I ruined a windshield using Rain X on the Lexon Shield.

I carry a pair of goggles in my saddle bags for when it rains. The goggles make a huge difference in being able to see. I wear a half helmet too.

I've always used S100 wax on all my shields and it has worked well---- helps w/bugs and never had to replace for scratches

I have used a full face helmet for riding in the rain and it was the best solution for rain that I have come up with. I have a Shoei RJ Platinum-R now but I haven't used it in the rain.

I bought my ride as I loved the 'look' of a King, rode a few times in the rain with the same results regardless the baffle, the fork deflectors and whatever else I tried, I could slow it down but not make it liveable so I opted to a removeable fairing. Love the way it redirects the rain or whatever I get into, went to the point I bought lowers as well and have not been unhappy with either. I can still strip it back for open days or keep it dolled out for longer rides.

Dude, I feel ya, last July riding through Wyoming on the way to Custer we got caught chasing slow moving showers. I actually had water drops coming up from between the forks and hover in front of my face in a circular form behind my faring and wind shield. The only way to move them was to swipe your hand through the space in front on my face to disturb the airflow and they disappeared.

Wired aerodynamics on these bikes no manner which one you ride.
Good Luck and Ride On.

Leadtech.......I have a 09 RK................it had major helmet buffeting.....specially 70mph+. Got reverse curve 16 inch shield, air deflectors for the forks and T stem. This was a big improvement........added a Laminar lip and now I ride with the face shield up all the time and no wind to speak of.

All this was done for the buffeting........(had not thought about rain).

I have ridden in the rain several times lately and with the shield down, my visibility is "good".....considering. Not a drop comes under the helmet and in light rain, I can crack the visor a little.

As others have said......the chin bar MUST be a good fit. I have a "convertable" hat.......I think that gives a betten under the chin fit.

don't ride in the rain ...
