Between my first 2 bike, I only put around 11,000 miles on them in nearly 4 years. I decided when I bought the Street Glide that I was going to have a goal of 10,000 miles in the first year of ownership. Well... I bought her on March 25th Road her until June 10th and put 3414 miles on her. Shipped her to Italy and was back on the road September 6th. I am now over 9400 miles. Not too bad for 6 months of riding..... I guess I will meet my goal with easy. I now want to get to 10,000 before I head to VA for Christmas. If I can get her fixed, I can meet that goal.

Wish you well on your Goal usually do a little more than that here .. One of the Joys of Being Retired ...
I don't have a set goal, I just try to ride as much as I can. I was averaging just over 12k per year until the last two, hope to pick that up again, and maybe more.

I keep wishing my bikes didn't have so many miles. The repairs and maintenance go up. Especially I've noticed around 65,000 miles a lot of thing start to break.

When I got my first bagger, I had planned on 20k, did 18k the first year. 13k the second year.
Traded to a newer one and only rode about 8k. Then traded up one year to an 09 last April. So far, 11k on this one.
It has been mostly a problem of money for me to put more miles on it. I ride to work if I don't need to make service calls or go down dirt paths that day. I've had to ride those dirt paths though.
Where I did most of the miles is weekend 1500 mile trips that I can no longer afford to make.

I just ride when I can but even with a 'more than full time' job and a girlfriend (yet understanding), I still average about 22k a year.

10,000 is a great goal. I would love to put some miles down riding in Italy. I am going there next summer it looks like, but not sure I can break away to do any riding. I managed over 12,000 this year. All of it in the USA.
