No matter what, I love the cruise and radio.

All good suggestions-here's my two cents:I believe it is most cost effective to by a bike a little fancier than you want and take a couple things off it, as opposed to buying something plain and adding on.

As a carpal tunnel sufferer, I've been riding with my throttle lock snug for thirty years, and feel no need for cruise control.

An empty tour-pak has the same affect on handling as a 120 pound passenger.(number from dealer) Tour-paks are handy, but mine collected junk like a ladies purse. I sold mine when I got my current bike (EG classic), and don't miss it

Agreed. Fenders are another matter, the seat is easy. Lights - depends on the rear fender.

Did you contradict yourself a little?

Good point - we didn't want the King Pack no matter what - only the Chopped which is another reason the EG was the wrong choice for us. And then the bag & cargo rack was far less and more practical for us.

I'm sure an empty tour pack is the same as a 120lb person, I guess when I put my OL on the back I now have 300+ pounds to deal with

I'm sure he would use the TP, he did mention a couple of times that he would ride 2-up, tour, etc. Why wouldn't he use it?

+1, don't see any reason to. For my personal needs all my bags come in handy, for one reason or another. I especially don't need to remove it to look "cooler" I'm getting too old for that...

My guess is the 30+lbs sitting that high by itself raises the center of gravity like that of a 120lb passenger.

POLL QUESTION: How many EG owners would be happy with a Chopped vs. King Pack standard?

Why did I just buy a 25,000 limited if I wanted a Chopped tourpac.
Don't have enough room now.

Not I.
The tourpak was one of the reasons I got what I did. Im sure when the spring camping weather returns, I will have it stuffed to the max and looking for more storage.

My last bike was a Electra Glide Standard. I did everything I could do , so it would be a Ultra.
Should of got a Ultra to start. This time I got a Ultra Limited

Look at the EGS. Does it look like i want a chopped tourpac
Does it look like the extra weight bothers me
I am a Man.

You can have more than one guess if'n yer not good at this.
