Default Longrideshields Stealth

I am currently running the Ultra Flip, but considering the Stealth Does anyone have experience with the Stealth? Does it give significantly more protection than the Ultra Flip? It better protect more effectivly as it doesnt look real pretty!

I talked to James at longrideshields the other day. He said the stealth offers the least protection. He said the flat top is the best. Stealth has a narrow stream. He said his old lady doesnt like to ride with him with the stealth on the bike. Give him a call. And imo the stealth looks sweet!

I bought an 8"stealth a few months back.I'm 6'-0"tall.Without a helmet it worked fine but with one I still got a lot of buffeting with a half helmet.I just sold it to a freind of mine.He wears a 3/4 helmet & liked it.I had much better luck with the flip up design at 9".I can see through it & will soon try an 8"flip up.Hope that helps.

Thanks for the input guys, that was really helpful. I may need to give the flat top a try, but IMO it also does not look that great.

I am 6'4'' and run the longrideshields 12'' flattop on my Ultra Classic because I do alot of 2up riding. The flattop will give you and especially your passenger the most protection available. I switched from the 10'' Ultra flip and couldnt be happier. I was worried about the look as well before I got it. Turns out it looks better in person and I have gotten several compliments and questions as to who makes it and where can they get one.

I have the stealth 8". I love it, especially at 50 mph or above. Personally I like the aerodynamic look.

I was thinking about 10" flattop for Tri Glide, was the 10" not enough for passenger protection, to much buffeting? how are these shields about scratching

thanks
Steve

Steve,
the 10" Ultra Flip was good for me, but buffeted my passenger pretty good. I switched to the 12" Flattop and have no complaints from the back seat now. I am tall enough to look over the 12" and the wind rush is way over my head and also very wide out beyond my shoulders on the sides.
Hope that helps. I have not had any issues with scratching these windshields.
Cheers,
Eric
