Default oil

If you fill it over half way, it will blow it into the breather, Then if you add more when it gets down a half a quart, it will blow it out again.

That's the only way my 08 or 11 ever use oil. I had 61K on my 08 when I traded it in and it never used any if I didn't overfill it.

Just turned over 100,000 miles and it now just uses less than 1/2 quart between 5,000 mile changes. NOT complaining!

Same for me on all the Harleys I've had.

I have three bikes with the TC96 and one with the TC103. None have ever had a detectable drop of oil in the 5K intervals.

The Evo 1200's both used 1 quart at 1K, a half qt. at 2K and none after that for each 5K interval.

I keep the dipstick right up to the full line and none of it blows out the air breather.

It's different from bike to bike my 07 with 63k on it nope but my wife's 08 with 24K on her UC had to add often so I took to the local HD shop they fond a bad valve seal and cylinder #1 piston rings were lined up was the cause of it. So I paid for the parts upgrade and now it has 103" with SE 255 and ACR cost me 2 hrs of labor and parts rest was thanks to ESP had to pay only$50.00.
