Default 2011 FLHTK, Progressive Shocks

I want to lower the rear 1" with shocks. I really don't want to buy from the MoCo since I'm afraid their stuff is often over priced for the performance you get. I don't want to spend a thousand dollars either. So my question is for those of you who have tried the 412, 430, and 440 series. Which did you choose? Do you like them? Are you still using them? Is bottoming out when two up and loaded down a problem? Thanks!

Why not look for a used pair of FLTRX or FLHX shocks on e-bay, OEM but one inch lower, or you could also check out Bitchin Baggers, just another idea if you don't want to spend a lot.

Your Limited comes stock with 3" of rear suspension travel. Lower it an inch, you'll have 2". No matter what you do, you're going to have either ride quality issues or bottoming issues (or both) when you put a couple hundred pounds of rider, passenger, and gear on your 900 pound bike.

I just put on 940's on mine $459.99 shipped from www.usmotoman.com They shipped fast to boot. they were by far the cheapest. You have to ask for that price tho.

I have the Progressive 12" 412's on my 2010 Limited and do not recommend them. Way too much bottoming out, regardless of the amount of pre-load. You'd be far better off lowering your seat, and wearing thicker soled boots.
