Thinkin' about buying a bagger. I'm over here in Korea right now, and they are offering big rebates on H/D's. I can get a leftover 2006 Electraglide standard for 13,700. Or, a Street Glide, 2006 for 15,000, or a road glide for 15,000. With the cost of putting a stereo in the standard, I figure they would all be the same. Which one should I think aobut getting?
Kinda leaning towards the Standard or the Road glide....
Your right, a stereo for the standard is about a grand which puts you right back into the same price as the other two. It boils down to what you like better, the batwing or the sharknose fairing. For the money I wouldn't get the Standard if it was me. You get alot more extra with the other two than just a stereo. The extra guages and chrome put them way over the standard for value at those prices.
RG or SG---both have stereos and extra guages---while in Korea go to the PX get a small two or four channel amp 100 watts or better, good quality 5 1/4 marine grade speakers (Polk Audio, Pioneer) and install on the bike.
IMHO the stereo does not nearly have enough power and the sound quality is not that good either.
I am installing my second amp and second set of speakers sometime this month.
