Default $ 4 point docking hardware ?
I won a used 4 pt docking hardware #54205-09 on ebay and it arrived without the protective tape that sticks on the rear mounting bracket on the saddle bag as per instruction sheet J04752 Is this a must have to prevent scratches or do I have to order the tape from the moco before installation Thanks for any input

I just installed the 4 point docking hardware on my RKC, and have no need for the two clear 1" square pieces of 3m tape. PM me and I'll mail them to you.

the protective tape is about a 1/4"X1/2" piece of clear tape. mine does not rub in the area that you stick the tape but I have heard others do. Ny little patch of clar tape would work. it is a very small peice to say the least.

As long as no contact is made in that area don't worry about it. I didn't use mine.

I don't see where he was worried about it he only asked if it was necessary. It did not seem like he was complaining about not getting it.
