VERY NICE Steve! I know you are enjoying that torque! Very impressive numbers per $$$$. I see the dyno gremlins are lurking really close. But you know, best of all, you did it yourself. There is alot to be said for that. Again, congrats on a sweet build and some great numbers!

$1700 is the total tab for the build as of right now..........that's all parts and dyno tune. I gained 22 ft.lbs of torque and 17 hp from what I had before, but the curves are much better and longer duration of the torque.

I'm happy with it for sure.........it feels like a whole new bike now. Once I make the tour-pak detachable, that will make the bike 50 lbs lighter and feel quicker still. And if I could drop 50 lbs..........man this thing would be a rocket...........LOL

I never really considered the effects of overall weight on bagger performance. A stock Streetglide weighs in at 75 lbs less than an Ultra. Wonder just how much difference it can make when you figure rider weight into the equation?

Steve
Good job on your build, and your Dyno looks awsome. As wnogood said, you did it your self man. Very very respectable. Good job.

It all is relative.......

50 lb tour-pak + my 100 lbs over my buddy = 150 lbs extra weight

If he had the same build & numbers.............he would beat me all day long

I figure my bike with me on it is about 1000 lbs, if I could take away 100 lbs of weight..............that's a 10% reduction which is huge.

So 50 lb tourpak and if I can drop 40-50 lbs............I'll be doing very good on the street.

I thought the old drag racers rule of thumb was every 100 lbs in weight = 10 HP. Anyone of you drag racers - Does that sound about right?

That what I've always hear to. To compete with a car 5oo lbs lighter you'ed need 50 or 60 more horses than him, of course this is staight up roll off, outta the hole is a different can of worms Steve you look like me losing 50 lbs isn't outta the question and according to Oprah we'd gain two inches [sm=happy046.gif]

Been following Steve and his build - cause I want to do something similar. Lost me somewhere - what are the "discs" you're talking about? Thanks,

The discs are in the SuperTrapp SuperMeg muffler he put on.

Steve - Does that $1700 include the brand new pipe? If so, you are a bargain hunter. Nice work.
