Wow, I know I don't ride nearly as much as I'd like to, but only 24k on a ten year old bike? 2k per year? Really? I can't see anyone buying a new bike if they only put on 2k per year.
I average only 12,000 per year and I'm embarrassed at how few miles I put on.
I hang my head in shame... eom.
There are lots of low milage bikes out there, which is why if I need to, I'll by another "old" S/E just like I have now. I bought this one on August 1, 2007 with only 23,900 miles on it.
2002 RKC has 22,000 miles on it. I've had it since 2005. It's pretty much just the way I want it. However, I've been thinking about adding some hard bags, wheels and paint but not for a year or so. I need to get the Ultra done first.
2010 Ultra has 7,000 miles on it. Bought it new. It's staying for long time. We're just begining our relationship. It gets a FM107 next week.
I just turned my 2010 RK over 16k. I'd like to think I'm going to keep it for a while but the last time I was at the dealer the Street Glide was looking really nice... who knows... maybe in a couple of years...
'02 RK, 72,000 mi. Love it. Still a work in progress, as I guess it always will be. Crashed it last year and was VERY worried it would get totalled, as I didn't want a new one and have to start all over. Luckily it wasn't and the repaired version is better than before.
