Anyone have any experience with a National Cycle "Stinger" windshield? I am looking at one for my RKC. I don't like the great big windshields and can't really afford a batwing. What you all think?

Had a '10 Road King with stock windshield and it worked well for me (6'3'' tall). Friend tried to sell me a cool lookin' 14" that had the smoked color. I really liked the way it looked. Once I took it for a ride my "LIKE" turned to "DISLIKE". The wind was coming off the shield and shooting directly into my face. I didn't buy it. My thinking is that if a stock winshield is 20" and works well and the 14" didn't work, how will the 10.5 inch "Stinger" being anything close to functional. It may be cool, but I don't think it will be functional. My $0.02.

It really depends on your priority - "cool" or "functional". Good luck in your search. Your comment on finding out their return policy is right on the money.

 

Yeah, I don't ride with a wind shield now. I want a batwing, but I doubt that will happen. I want to keep a bit of wind off to be able to hear Ipod or speakers.

 

Anyone try it out yet?
