Default V and H BASICS Vs. CLASSICS....know the dif?

Anyone know the difference between the Vance and Hines Basic slip-ons Vs. the Classics in terms of loudness and sound? Any other differences to be aware of?

Check this out. Off my friends 05 electraglide classic with only 12,000 miles garage kept (unheated) in Massachusetts. Only happened to 1-muffler other side was fine. Vance and Hines would do nothing for him.

Maybe water got trapped in there and they just rotted out. He's not one to wash his bike and just put it away. It was so bad that he had to screw a piece of metal on it until his new slip ons came in. One pipe was in perfect condition and this one---the pic says it all. He liked the pipes but will never buy V&H again just because they would do nothing for him. Not even a call back. The person who he was to talk to(ED) was always not in or at a rally but they promised if he left a voice mail he would call him back.I guess That's how they handle service after the sale.

Can't say for sure but I believe the basics were a little louder and deeper. I had them on my old 01 RKC and they were great pipes. Hear a couple bikes with Classics but different cams, headers etc I can't say for sure it was an apples to apples comparison.

Wow - I don't know that I've heard that about V and H before - bummer.

That's kind of what I'm gathering from the reviews of each but they are mixed so it's hard to tell - VandH is closed until after new years so I will give them a call - thanks.
