Help. I have a p1356 code on my bike. "Rear cylinder no combustion". Problem started with skip. Have removed throttle body, cleaned and replaced injector, plug and wire. What else is there. Symptoms are backfire, when adding throttle severe loss of power and will smoothe out when I let off. I
t is so bad I cant ride. Any advise?
Thanks kojack I have done everything but replace the coil. I will recheck connections. Maybe it is the coil itself. I have my doubts but that's the reason I am asking.
For what it's worth, I had the same code today (except for the front cylinder) when I was running out of gas and the engine was starving for gas. It doesn't sound like fuel's your issue. But thought I'd mention it. (Evidently, the code is derived from the ion-sensor data that also detects 'knock').
Believe it or not, If you search through here you will also find its very common for the fuel line inside the tank to get a hole in it then unable to pressurize the system. Happened to my bro's bike, 07 UC. The backfire symptom as well as unable to run into higher RPS often times as it progresses it wont even idle, just backfire cough and die. Food for Thought, Good Luck...

+1
Had the same issue on my 04 UC. Fuel line in my gas tank developed a couple of small holes. If you search the forums, there are other people that have had this issue. That's how I was able to figure it out. You might want to replace your fuel filter while you're in there.
I had to replace the hose from the fuel pressure regulator to the supply fitting/check valve.
62228-03 check valve. fitting assembly w/o-ring & flex tubing
On my bike the flex tubing on this assembly is what had the holes from rubbing against the inside of the fuel tank. When I replaced the assembly, I cut off the old flex tubing and cut it open and wrapped it around the newly installed flex tubing to provide a sort of shield against future rubbing.
