My dealer told me to go with the SERT because they see "alot" off issues with PC that fail due to vibration and heat issues. He mentioned nothing about warranty issues.

i hear that alot from
hd dealers and
i know that is just not the case.
Well,
Went and did it.
My dealer offered me an incredible package deal on slip-ons, a/c, SERT and dyno-tune.
It's only a few bucks more than doing it myself with a PCIII.
It's scheduled to be done next week. Can't wait.

If you have a warranty issue, pull the PCIII out before your visit to the dealer. It takes little time, they won't know the difference, and the bike will revert to the OEM settings.
I think this has been discussed before but doesn't the SERT offer a lot more map adjustments and allows mapping each cylinder individually? I don't believe the PC111 does that.

What if you have the Stage 1 kit? Taking out the PCIII takes 5 minutes but I'd hate to have to reinstall the stock air cleaner/backing plate every time I go to the dealer. Although it might be worth it if it was a serious problem potentially covered by the warranty.
I think you will be very happy with your new setup. You can go back and forth all day long, between the SERT and PC3. Bottem line is you cant go wrong with the SERT. Very good tool, indeed.

RE: Power Commander vs warranty
Kind of a crazy thing here but if the dealer is selling the PC III in there shop why is there a warranty issue?? I got my PC III from my dealer, But I also have to admit I didn't ask the impact on warranties either.
