09 Ultra clutch cable question

09 Ultra clutch cable question
got a question, my 2009 Ultra clutch cable when
adjusted is almost at the end of the adjustment.
the adjuster for the lever is almost to the end of
the threads.
1. Do I need to let out all the slack (screw back)
the adjuster further before doing the adjustment
inside the derby cover???
OR
2. Does it sound as if my cable has stretched beyond
and needs replacement???
I am hoping option #1 and was just wondering, I have
just done the 25K service and all works well, just concerned
about future adjustment problems. Help a still learning
(daily) rider and wrench on his own bike.

dummy me, after reading the "sticky" I see that
I should collapse the adjuster "all the way" before
doing the adjustment inside the cover. Seems I
posted too soon...............

YEP, Flame away at the dummy........I fixed it.
I had been collapsing the adjuster just never completely
in the past and it obviously just showed up
after me doing the adjustment at 1,5,10,15,20,and 25K
