I'm running a Corbin Hollywood solo when I'm by myself and then I switch it out to a Corbin Gambler when my wife rides with me. They use the same mounting hardware so switching between the two takes about 10 seconds. I bought them both used and only have about $375 in both. The Hollywood isn't terribly comfortable but the Gambler is. The Hollywood will sit you back and lower. The Gambler will sit you lower but not necessarily back.

I don't know if it's the 'best', but a Mustang solo with a backrest is hard to beat. It doesn't sit you up real high and put you on top of the controls (like my Sundowner solo does), it's not hard as a rock (like my Corbin Hollywood solo was), and it doesn't move you an inch or two back from stock position (like the Corbin, or my Harley Brawler).

Casper, thanks for the offer, but I don't think that would fit the 12 King.

I have a Mustang solo with a backrest.
You can pull the backrest out & close the opening with a little velcro flap.
This seat also comes without an opening for a backrest & in smooth or studded styles.
I'm 6'2 with a 36" inseam & it puts me down & back a bit.
The forward controls are nice for long legged folks too.

Default Thanks for the recommendations...Keep them coming...

Thanks for all the recommendations...considering all that I've learned and the feedback that you've all given me...I think that I'm going to look into the C&C seat as a Solo and look to add the pillion down the road. Given my need for being back and lower, I think that's going to be the best way to go. I'm not set on the C&C as of yet, but I am apt to lean that way.

Now...where to buy??

Help??

I have heard that Dr V twin [sponsor here] gives a forum discount on C&C. Worth a call or e-mail to see.

C&C will give you a discount if you mention the forums. Think it was 10%?

Thoughts on where to buy a solo seat? I'm narrowed down to the Mustang and C&C...still waiting for your final thoughts to decide between these two and who to best buy it.
