Default Raking my bagger

I'm considering raking my bagger and going with a 23" wheel. Any thoughts?

I put the trike trees on mine. Roughly a 4.5 degree additional rake. It allows the 23" to fit very nicely. It really livened up the bike! I drive a lot of different touring bikes with my job and some of them you get on and their like driving tanks! The front end feels very heavy. The Street Glides and Road Kings have the least of the problems with this because they are lighter bikes, but if you put a 21" on it and lower it 1 1/2", you get pretty close to the same effect. Their driveable at slow speeds, but their not a lot of fun. I've just got mine put back together and have put about 300 miles on it since and the handling is awesome! My front end is almost too light and may be considered that way by some. I need to tighten my lower retension nut up just a tad to get some more tension on the front end so it isn't so touchy. I've been waiting on my trike fairing skirt to come in before I tear it back down, but it came in today. I'll put it on Sunday and tighten up the trees just a tad and hopefully that'll take care of the problem. I don't mind driving it the way it is, but I wouldn't want a buddy driving mine the way when their used to a regular bagger. To me, its even more fun driving it this way, and I liked the way it handled when it was in stock configuration. One thing to remember, it's gonna still lift up your bike even without extending the trees 1 1/2" - 2" as some are recommending. Yaffe recommends this with the kit he likes to sell, but then recommends lowering it for a "cool" factor. Doesn't make sense to me though. If someone can explain the thinking behind that I'd sure appreciate it.
