Default Mustang Extended Arm Back Rest

Has anyone used the Mustang Extended arm back rest for Tour Pac? I was wondering if this is more comfortable for the better half while on long rides or does the extended arms get in the way?

Thanks

Mark

Yes, I have one. My wife prefers it to the stock back rest. She says she feels more secure & comfortable in the saddle versus the mid-height sissy bar & back rest. Anything that makes her want to ride more is great for me. In fact, she now regularly asks to go for a ride. The extended arms do not get in the way at all.

P.S. This is installed on my removable king tour pak I have for my Street Glide. I mounted the touk pak to the rear most holes giving my wife about 2+ extra inches of room.

WARNING: When the tour pak is mounted 2 inches further rearward than stock, with a fully loaded tour pak (with heavy women's crap) and the wife on the back, don't crack the throttle to hard from take off or the front end will lift up ever so slightly and get you slapped in the back of the head! Don't ask me how I know. I made a right hand turn out on to a 3 lane coastal highway and a car changed lanes behind me (coming into my lane - far right lane) as I was completing the turn. I saw this in the mirror and snapped the throttle pretty hard to make sure we didn't get hit from behind. Made for a great laugh from all my buddy's who were watching as we pulled off - they all saw the "wheelie" & the SLAP!

I have one and my wife says it is way more comfortable then the stock backrest. She also likes the extended arm rest length much better. Get it, you won't be sorry. Tuff to beat Mustang products!!

+1 on all accounts. If you have a Mustang seat, even better as they'll have matching finishes.

Got em, wife luvs em probably too much. She falls asleep back their sometimes on the way home after a long ride. They keep her pretty locked in with ingress or egress problems at all.
