If I shift into 6th at 55 mph, I'm seriously lugging my motor. Never a good thing. And my bike is stock except for American Custom slip-on mufflers. But it did that with the stock slip-ons also.
I retuned and used octane boost.got rid of most of the ping between 2.7 and 3 rpm in 6th.
stopped using the octane boost cause lid froze shut and when I loosend it the whole bottle cracked(messy to say the least)just use it in warmer weather...
One thing good about using a diy tuneing device.Im at the point where it runs good I will tolerate a minimol amount of ping.
compression adds to the mix so they say,im at arounnd 10.5+
ride at 85 when riding with others or 95 solo so rpm's are over 3 anyway and better then stock ping monster.
