Hey guys. Recently had an eBay purchase go bad on me. Bought extended bags and a fender overlay for an 05 Road King for a really good deal. The dude then sent my package to Texas (1800 miles from me) and finally got them to me after some mildy harsh emails with maybe a few carefully hidden threats involved about 5 weeks later. The bags and all look great but the overlay doesn't fit right. One side is a little deformed and won't let it slip over my frame. There is also a recessed spot for a license plate which makes it look as though I need to cut my stock fender in order for it to work. However I still don't think the fender will conform to the shape of my old one and be flush with my new bags. Can the fiberglass be bent? I was thinking after I get it to fit on the frame that I could run a bolt through the overlay to the origanal bottom fender bracket and kind of suck it into shape but didn't won't to risk cracking the paint when I get it done. Just looking for a little help on what I should do and if anyone else has experienced something like this.
bad dad makes the best overlays and full replacement rear fenders. i bought the summit rear fender from them and it was a replacment and it fit perfect. i paid $495.00 for the fender good luck with cheap products.
Do you think I should by the bad dad overlay and keep the bags since nothing is wrong with them? I have a body guy that could make everything look good just don't know what to do with the fender. I would lose sleep thinking about cutting the stock one.
Did you purchase the bags too? The bags I have are ones with the square cut-outs for the duals. I think I can get them rounded. just need to fit 4" CFR's in there.

No I kept the cheap *** bags from LaRosa designs. Took a lot of work but I did it!
